| Sick Trumpet / Music Blog | | | New Music | Well peeps, its been some time since we updated our site, we do apologise but we have been busy sorting fresh, new tracks for your ears... First up is Art Bleek feat Charlie Sputnik with "All Night / Brothers and Sisters", super deep vibes, on a House tip, we have been rocking floors with this for quite a while and its now your turn...
Here is what some of our friends have been saying about this release...
Great soul music

Really feeling the Art Bleek - all the mixes are wicked - love how the broken is mixed with the straight, in "All Night", love Zed's mix too. "Brothers and Sisters" is rather cool, all night just edges it - top draw.

M8 Magazine Review
Art Bleek is a name that's been doing the rounds for a few years now. The Paris based producer never fails to live up to expectations whether it be deep minimal housers, downtempo jazzed-out loungers, broken beat or straight up hip hop, versatility is the man’s game.
He's recorded for labels such as Rush Hour and Loungin' and now for Sick Trumpet he brings Californian vocalist Charlie Sputnik along to make the French Connection.
All night, a mid-tempo nu-jazz shuffler that glides between broken beat and house with a killer groove, walkin' bass lines, vocal hooks and scats a plenty from Mr. Sputnik. FOR ME ITS THE Zed Bias remix which takes the track and turns it into a New Jersey House bumper with that added Biaspheric twist we've all come to expect - BIG ! for sure it will probably get lots of urban support as its a cross genre track a little grimey, a little niche but soul aplenty.

Next up is "Conspiracy Theory / Lazy" from adopted Scouser, Tim Scott, check out what peeps are saying about this one...
Very forward music and right up my street. Listening to the Tim Scott as i write this...great production

I Love Clyde's mix of this

I really like Clyde's mix of Tim Scott for those late night beat down moments- the vocal is cool too.

The weather is slowly getting better. Makes me long for the summer even more. Been searching for songs that go with that feeling. Tim Scott’s coming release on Sick Trumpet being one of my favourites. Feels like summer to me. Don’t really know why. Certainly not because it’s got a Latin flavour or any other obvious summer evoking gimmick. Maybe it’s because it’s so laid back and dreamy. Makes me want to get out the hammock, make me a cocktail and blast the EP through the speakers. “Lazy”, “Conspiracy Theory” and the Clyde remix of that last one all are well crafted, chill out gems. Takes me back to Grand Central and Rae & Christian’s finest moments.
